Yoga for Osteoporosis

In this course, you will learn how to safely modify your existing yoga practice and practice each level of the 12-Yoga Poses proven by Dr. Loren Fishman to improve BMD (Bone Mineral Density) along with Lifestyle and Nutrition tips to improve your health and longevity.

The truth is everyone loses bone mineral density with aging, both men and women. Most of us peak at age 40, then start to lose BMD. Often osteoporosis goes undetected at early ages. Later it can lead to silent fractures. And, women are more likely to fracture than men. If you are a woman feeling concerned you are not alone, I have got your back! 😆

Yoga is an excellent low-impact exercise for any fitness level at any age. Yoga can be an effective way to improve core strength and balance which helps to prevent falls. With that being said, one must understand how to modify poses during flow classes to prevent fractures as this often gets overlooked in group class settings.

You do not need to have an existing yoga practice to do the 12-Yoga Poses daily for building BMD. Each post has 3-levels designed for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced students. However, it is strongly recommended that you first consult your doctor to review your DEXA scan and health history to be certain that this course is safe for you.

This course is designed to be done at your own pace.
