Here are the questions I get asked most. If you don’t see yours, reach out directly - I’m happy to talk it through before you commit to anything.

  • Do I need any experience for yoga therapy?

No. Sessions are tailored to where your body is right now.

  • How many sessions will I need?

This varies by person. We’ll talk through a plan on your discovery call.

  • Do you work with clients outside of Michigan or Arizona?

Yes! I work with individuals all over the world. Most of my clients prefer the convenience and flexibility of working together in live virtual sessions from their own homes.

  • Can I use insurance to cover services?

If your doctor prescribes health coaching or yoga therapy, you may be able to obtain reimbursement from your HSA or FSA account. Plans vary; check with your provider for details.

  • How is yoga therapy different from traditional yoga?

According to IAYT, “although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, yoga therapy is the specific application of yoga tools—postures/exercises, breathwork, meditation techniques, and more—to address an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional needs.” Learn more: HERE.

  • What is the scope of a health coach?

The NBHWC says, “National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWCs) engage individuals and groups in evidence-based, client-centered processes that facilitate and empower clients to develop and achieve self-determined, health and wellness goals. Coaches assist clients to use their own insight, personal strengths, and resources to set goals, commit to action steps, and establish accountability in building an envisioned healthy lifestyle.” Learn more: HERE
